Apple Launch : New 27″ iMac in October

Apple Inc (NASDAQ AAPL)’s anticipated 27 inch iMac with Retina Display is set to launch during media event in October. Jack March, citing an unnamed source, claimed the larger iMac would receive the upgrade.

The larger iMac computer will feature a 5K screen resolution with 5,120 by 2,880. This is double the current resolution of 2,560 by 1,440. Other features include Intel i7-4790K processor which is clocked at 4.0 gigahertz. The most current processor is Haswell, the next generation Broadwell processors won’t arrive until next year. The computer is also said to be powered by AMD chip.

Apple’s Mac computers are popular enough to garner enough regular upgrades, but the devices still are not as the iPhone or iPad. The Cupertino-based tech giant recently released two versions of the new iPhone 6 including a phablet style version.

The phone is still new as it continues to be released in markets around the world. The phone has yet to arrive in China, which is a key market for Apple. However, that does not stop some people from smuggling the phone into China where the devices are sold at premium prices.

Grey market vendors claim they received iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices from as far as Australia and United States. However many units also come from Hong Kong. Local authorities are trying to put a stop on the smuggling. Late last week, customs officials from Hong Kong stopped one operation, seizing 67 iPhone 6 and four iPhone 6 Plus models. The smuggler tried to bring the phones stored in his car, but his plan was foiled by border checkpoint officials in mainland China.
