Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ MSFT) is set to cut the price of the Xbox One by $50 this holiday season. The tech giant’s special holiday promotion will be valid on Xbox One consoles or bundles until January 3rd. This deal will be available at all major retailers in the United States including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Game Stop, Toys R Us, and Microsoft Store.
Yusef Mehdi, Microsoft’s corporate Vice President, elaborated, “Fans don’t have to wait for Black Friday this year to enjoy great savings on Xbox One. We’re offering our best price yet, with unprecedented choices and value, so more people can play on Xbox One this holiday. We’re gearing up for one of our biggest holidays ever and we are thrilled to offer fans up to $150 in savings on Xbox One and some of the biggest blockbuster games of the season.”
Early next month, the Xbox bundle with Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will launch in stores for $449. This bundle will include a 1TB hard drive, custom console, custom controller, and a digital copy of the game. Other bundles include Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle and Assassin’s Creed Unity bundle. Both bundles will be available with or without Kinect.
News on Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ MSFT)
At press time, there is no word on whether Microsoft has similar promotions for those in the United Kingdom. A representative for Microsoft claimed decisions on promotional pricing are made on a local level and are all based on context of the market. The rep also declined to say more beyond that.
Microsoft previously offered special promotions for the Xbox One since last year’s launch. Just last summer, Microsoft offered the last global price cut when the company launched the first bundle without Kinect for the first time.
