Apple Inc (NASDAQ AAPL)’s official online store returned and pre-orders for the new iPads started. The iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 are now available for pre-order.

Pre-orders are available in the following countries Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States. China and Macau are limited to Wi-Fi versions right now.

Apple fans in Croatia, Greece, Puerto Rico, Russia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and other countries will see the new iPads roll out before the end of the month.

The iPad Air 2 is available in three color options including white/silver, black/space gray, and white/gold. It is also available in three storage options: 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Apple will offer Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular options. The latter will cost $130 more than standard Wi-Fi options.

The iPad Mini 3 will be available in the same color and storage options. Both tablets are now available through Apple’s online store.

A recent report from the Wall Street Journal takes a closer look at the new iPads. Unfortunately, the new devices don’t really bring innovation to the table. Although Apple did give the popular tablet a fresh with a camera upgrade, thinner design and Touch ID sensor, there really isn’t a lot to get excited about.

Apple has yet to offer multitasking support which would enable users to split the screen between an app and browser. This is something iPad competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S and Windows 8 already embraced. Apple also has yet to offer a keyboard case.
