Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced this morning that in partnership with BesTV New Media Co., a subsidiary of Shanghai Media Group, Xbox One will launch into China in September of this year. The all-in-one games and entertainment system will be the first of its kind to launch in the country, creating mutual opportunities for developers in China to bring their creative content to life both at home and abroad. Xbox One will offer content such as games, entertainment, education and fitness experiences.

(005930) made itself a dominant player in the smartphone industry only by copying the iPhone maker on “feature after feature” over several years. Apple and Samsung each presented two hours of closing arguments yesterday after almost four weeks of testimony at their second U.S. trial over dueling claims of patent infringement. Jury deliberations began yesterday afternoon and are scheduled to resume today.

Irish data protection regulators should have investigated allegations first raised by Edward Snowden that Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB)’s Irish unit transfers data to U.S. spies, a lawyer for an Austrian student told an Irish court. Max Schrems, a law student at Vienna University, is challenging the Irish Data Protection Commissioner’s refusal to investigate whether his data was sent by Facebook to the U.S. National Security Agency. Analysts have a consensus price target of $74.11 on Facebook Inc.
