World Cup 2014 Ball : watch this surprising video of the “Brazuca”, the new and official ball designed by Adidas for the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. As always for every new world cup, players from all over the world will compete with a new ball at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Named the Brazuca, adidas spent three years developing it. Here’s what you should know about it in a stunning video of the Brazuca and its magical effects.

Brazuca is the latest ball of a very long tradition. As it does every four years, Adidas recently introduced the latest official ball Brazuca for the 2014 World Cup, nicknamed “Brazuca.” To get a true read on just how different the balls are, WSJ’s Matt Futterman asked Kosuke Kumera of the New York Red Bulls totest every ball for the World Cup since 1970.

The new ball Brazuca from Adidas is likely to become controversial among players and goalkeepers during the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. The official ball of the event has been distributed to all teams enlisted in the tournament. Players have been able to test the official ball. More than 600 players have tested the ball and its effects within Adidas research centers.

The main goal of all these technological testings was to find an ideal structure for the Brazuca, increasing air resistance and avoiding strange effects on the beatings. “Despite reducing the number of panels used, the ball speed has been increased. When the World Cup 2014 official ball Brazuca flies in the air, resistance is reduced to smoothe the ball track” reports Takeshi Asai, Professor of Sports Science at the University of Tsukuba in Japan.

In 2010, the South Africa World Cup ball, the Jabulani, had received a wide range of criticism from players and goalkeepers. In Brazil, Adidas has found a miracle with the Brazuca. Check out the video:
